The event on May 29 will recognize achievements across the LGBTQ+ entertainment community, highlighting actors, writers and creators in film and television, organizers said.

“LGBTQ+ representation continues to matter, now more than ever,” Joey Berlin, CEO of the Critics Choice Association, said in a statement. “The Critics Choice Association is proud to celebrate and uplift the achievements of the LGBTQ+ community.”

Among those being honored are Emmy Award-winning actress Jane Lynch, known for her role in “Glee” and as host of “Celebrity Weakest Link,” who will receive the Groundbreaker Award, and actor-writer Dan Levy, co-creator and star of “Schitt’s Creek,” who will be presented with the Vanguard Award.

Hannah Einbinder will be recognized for her performance in HBO Max’s “Hacks,” while Bre-Z will be honored for her role on the CW drama “All American.”

Additional honorees include Brandon Scott Jones for his role on the CBS comedy “Ghosts,” director Dearbhla Walsh for her work on projects including “Bad Sisters,” and showrunner Jacob Tierney for the series “Heated Rivalry.”
