A bicyclist was taken to a hospital Thursday after being hit by a big rig in Hacienda Heights.
The collision occurred about 1:10 p.m. on South Azusa Avenue near the Pomona (60) Freeway, according to Officer Stephan Brandt of the California Highway Patrol, which closed the freeway’s off-ramp in the area and issued a SigAlert shortly before 2 p.m. It was reopened around 45 minutes later.
The details of the crash were not immediately available.
The bicyclist was taken to a hospital in unknown condition by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
