The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert Monday morning for a 79-year-old Lawndale man who may have driven away from his home.
Stanley Yamada was last heard from at 2:26 a.m. Sunday in Lawndale.
He was believed driving a white, 1988 Acura Integra with a California license plate number 2KCG316.
He is described as Asian, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 130 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who sees Yamada or his car was asked to call 911.
A Silver Alert is activated when an elderly, developmentally or cognitively impaired person is missing and determined to be at risk to aid in the person’s swift recovery.
