The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Thursday to its highest amount since Nov. 27, increasing 1.6 cents to $4.991, rising for the sixth time in seven days.

The average price has risen 6.1 cents over the past seven days, including 1.1 cents Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose three consecutive days, dropped one-tenth of a cent Monday and resumed increasing Tuesday.

The average price is 18.5 cents more than one month ago and 12.6 cents higher than year month ago. It has dropped $1.503 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price rose to its highest amount since Nov. 18, increasing 1.7 cents to $4.95, rising for the sixth time in seven days. It has risen 7.1 cents over the past seven days, including 2.1 cents Wednesday. The Orange County average price rose three consecutive days, dropped two-tenths of a cent Monday and resumed increasing Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 19.2 cents more than one month ago and 13.9 cents higher than one year ago. It has dropped $1.509 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose for the ninth consecutive day, increasing 1.2 cents to $3.527. It has risen 13.3 cents over the past nine days, including 2.6 cents Wednesday.

The national average price is 11.5 cents more than one week ago, 25.3 cents higher than one month ago and 9.1 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.489 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
