One person was killed Tuesday morning in a crash on the Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles.

A witness told the California Highway Patrol at 4:57 a.m. Tuesday that four vehicles were involved in the collision but there were references to vehicles blocking other lanes.

One person was confirmed dead, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service. Information on the person’s identity was not immediately available.

The CHP issued a SigAlert at 5:17 a.m. shutting down all northbound lanes, Lough said. One lane was reopened about 6 a.m., and efforts were underway to reopen the remaining lanes.
