A half-acre brushfire was stopped quickly by firefighters Saturday off Big Tujunga Canyon in the Angeles National Forest.
The Angeles National Forest posted on social media at 6:59 p.m. that a half-acre brushfire was burning downhill with light winds and did not pose an immediate structure threat, although there were structures in the area.
Officials followed six minutes later with a post announcing that a rapid response and aggressive firefighting had stopped the fire’s forward progress and that it was out.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
