Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor Hilda Solis and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Glenn Emery are hosting a Shop with a Cop community event Thursday in Industry where selected children will have the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts.
The event will take place Thursday at the Costco Store in the City of Industry at 17550 Castleton Street from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., the LASD said in a press release.
Deputies from the Industry Sheriff*s Station will accompany selected children as they shop for holiday gifts. Each child will receive a gift card, allowing them to personally choose items during their shopping experience.
The children chosen for this event have been identified as in need and will be transported to the location, the LASD said.
