An Amber Alert was issued Thursday for two children last seen in Santa Clarita who authorities say were abducted by a woman whose last name is the same as theirs.
The woman’s relationship to the children was not disclosed, and no additional details about the abduction were provided.
The three were last seen about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of River Circle and Soledad Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the Amber Alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect is Cristal Ordonez, 45, described by authorities as 5 feet tall, 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
The missing children are Romeo Ordonez, 12; and Sofia Ordonez, 9.
According to the CHP, the suspect vehicle has been located. Details about where the vehicle was found were not immediately provided.
The boy is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 190 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
The girl is 4 feet tall, 70 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who spots them should call 911 immediately.
