Malibu officials have extended the deadline for anyone who lives, works or visits the city to comment on proposed changes to its emergency evacuation plan through the end of February.
The original deadline was Jan. 30.
“There’s still time to share your input and help shape the update to Malibu’s Evacuation Plan,” city officials announced on social media. “Whether you live, work, or visit Malibu, your feedback is essential to strengthening evacuation planning, routes, alerts, and transportation options, which is crucial for the community’s safety and the City’s emergency preparedness and response.”
The city’s emergency plans were last updated in August 2020 and can be reviewed at malibucity.org/1159/Emergency-Plans.
