NBC4 was among the top winners at the 76th annual Golden Mike Awards honoring excellence in broadcast journalism.
The station took home awards for Best 30 Minute and Best 60 Minute newscasts during the Saturday ceremony at the Hilton Universal.
Other winners included CBS2/KCAL9 for Best Daytime Newscast and ABC7 for Best Weekend Newscast.
In the small market division, the Telemundo station in San Diego, KUAN, won for Best 60 Minute Newscast.
Winners in the radio category included KNX News’ “LA’s Morning News” for Best Newscast, 15 Minutes or longer, and KFI for Best Newscast, 15 minutes or Less. The small market winner was KCLU Thousand Oaks/Santa Barbara for Best Newscast, 15 Minutes or Less.
Two stations won special honors for their coverage of the January 2025 wildfires: KNX News in the radio category and ABC7 for television reporting.
RTNA Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Spectrum News 1 Los Angeles Anchor Lisa McRee, KTTV11 anchor and reporter Susan Hirasuna and KVEA news anchor and reporter Raymond Mesa.
The annual Golden Mike Awards are presented by the Radio Television News Association of Southern California.
