Monday’s estimated Powerball jackpot grew to $45 million after Saturday’s drawing failed to produce a grand prize winner, but a lucky player who bought a ticket in Calabasas is celebrating Sunday after winning over $2.2 million.
One ticket matching five numbers but missing the Powerball number was sold at the Shell station at 22295 Mulholland Highway, according to the California Lottery. The ticket has a value of $2,242,838.
The numbers drawn Saturday were 6, 47, 49, 53, 60 and the Powerball number was 6. The estimated jackpot was $35 million.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 292.2 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.9.
The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
