A 45-year-old man suffered fatal injuries when his SUV slammed into a tree in Dana Point, authorities said Thursday.
The victim’s Kia was headed northbound on Pacific Coast Highway when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle near the intersection with Doheny Park Road and struck the tree around 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, said California Highway Patrol Officer Chris Wolter. The man died at the scene, he said.
