A 35-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he drifted from the eastbound lanes of State Route 74 in Orange County and into the path of a westbound SUV, authorities said Sunday.
The victim — pronounced dead at the scene — was identified by the county coroner’s office as Lake Elsinore resident Alex Franco.
The crash occurred a little after 1:10 p.m. Saturday near Mile Post Marker 16, according to the California Highway Patrol. No other injuries were reported.
Franco, riding a 2018 Triumph, was going at an unknown speed when he collided with a 2010 Nissan that was going about 35 to 40 miles per hour.
The CHP asked anyone with any information regarding the crash to call (949) 487-4000.
