The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Thursday for the fourth time in five days, increasing two-tenths of a cent to $4.502.
The average price has risen by 1.1 cents over the past five days, including four-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 9.4 cents higher than one month ago but 10 cents less than one year ago.
The average price has dropped $1.992 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price rose 1.2 cents to $4.551, its sixth increase in seven days. It has risen 1.9 cents in seven days, including two-tenths of a cent Wednesday. It is 11.1 cents more than one month ago but 10.3 cents less than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped $2.008 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price resumed decreasing, dropping three-tenths of a cent to $3.117, one day after a five-day streak of decreases totaling 1.5 cents ended when it was unchanged.
The national average is 1.8 cents less than one week ago and eight-tenths of a cent lower than one year ago but 9.1 cents more than one month ago. It has dropped $1.899 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
