A 42-year-old man was convicted Tuesday of sexually assaulting two girls he is related to in La Habra.
Byron Saul Polancoaquino was convicted of four counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration of a child 10 years or younger and seven counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14, all felonies.
One girl was 9 to 10 years old when she was molested while visiting with the defendant in 2018, and the other girl was 6 to 7 years at the time in 2018, according to police testimony at the defendant’s preliminary hearing.
Polancoaquino is scheduled to be sentenced May 8.
