Officials Tuesday announced six bars and lounges will be part of the plans for OC Vibe, the mixed-use development near Honda Center in Anaheim.

The new drinking establishments will be in Katella Commons, which is part of a 50,000-square-foot, two-story market scheduled to open in early next year. Katella Commons, which will be below the Weave office building, will feature 21 chef-driven kitchens along with bars.

“Katella Commons is intended to be the gathering place for Anaheim,” said Nick Pacific, vice president, Katella Commons Operations. “Every kitchen, bar, and lounge within the OC Vibe district is intentionally designed to encourage discovery and give guests the freedom to experience the space and the food in their own way.”

Chef Remi Lauvand has been tapped as a consultant for Katella Commons, officials said.

“People today care deeply about how their food and drinks are made,” Lauvand said. “They want to understand ingredients, sourcing, and technique, and they’re excited to ask questions and try things themselves.”
