Luxury retailer Saks Global is closing several of its Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus stores nationwide as part of a brand restructuring, including three Southern California locations.
The Saks Fifth Avenue stores at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa and The Gardens on El Paseo in Palm Desert will close, as will the Neiman Marcus store at 6550 Topanga Canyon Blvd. in Canoga Park, the company said Friday.
“These actions are designed to advance Saks Global’s transformation with a focus on serving luxury customers, strengthening brand partner relationships and driving full-price selling to enable profitable and sustainable growth,” according to a company statement.
The Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus stores in Beverly Hills and the Neiman Marcus store at Fashion Island in Newport Beach will remain open.
Company officials said existing gift cards will continue to be accepted at any closing location for 15 days after the closing sale begins. After this period, gift cards will no longer be accepted at any closing location.
