A series of road closures will be in place Sunday ahead of the Ironman Indian Wells-La Quinta.
The bicycle race portion of Sunday’s triathlon will occur from Lake Cahuilla to the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department having previously announced that law enforcement personnel will be monitoring the area. Major roadways in that stretch will be used for the race.
Authorities asked residents to plan ahead for delays in the area or use alternate routes.
