The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County increased 1.8 cents Sunday to 4.167, one day after dropping to its lowest amount since June 3, 2021.
The average price is 1.7 cents less than one week ago, 31.5 cents less than one month ago and 13.2 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It has dropped $2.206 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped six-tenths of a cent to $2.814, after seeing its cheapest December since the end of 2020. The national average price is 1.4 cents less than one week ago, 17.7 cents less than one month ago and 25 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $2.202 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
