The Palm Springs Sustainability Department will host its annual “Community Clean-Up” Friday at James O. Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center.
The event will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at 480 W. Tramview Road.
In partnership with Ben and Jerry’s, the event aims to “enhance neighborhood cleanliness and appearance, provide organized waste collection and disposal, and support coordination between city departments and partnering organizations,” city officials said.
Ben and Jerry’s will have a team of more than 200 volunteers participating as part of the company’s franchise annual meeting, and will offer free ice cream to volunteers.
