A cooling trend is expected throughout Riverside County this week, with daytime temperatures dropping into the 70s in many areas.
Sunday’s temperatures were in the mid-80s in downtown Riverside, Temecula and Hemet, while the Coachella Valley and Palm Springs were expected to reach the mid-90s, according to forecasters.
By Monday, the downtown Riverside, Temecula and Hemet were expected to drop to the mid-70s while the Coachella Valley was expected to reach 89 and Palm Springs 85.
“Temperatures will rebound for Tuesday and Wednesday as the low pressure system moves east into the Rockies and a transient high pressure ridge moves over CA,” the National Weather Service announced.
Wednesday was expected to be the warmest day this week with Coachella and Palm Springs reaching the upper 80s and Riverside, Temecula and Hemet the upper 70s, according to the NWS.
Another cooling trend was expected toward the end of the week with Friday’s high at 76 in Riverside, 75 in Temecula, 74 in Hemet, 80 in Coachella and 78 in Palm Springs.
No rain is expected in the county for the whole week.
