Six people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Indio Wednesday evening.
Firefighters responded at approximately 7:35 p.m. Wednesday to the area near Avenue 48 and Dillon Road, where five people suffered minor to moderate injuries, while another person who sustained more serious injuries was taken to a hospital by helicopter, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The other five victims were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Details about what led up to the crash were not provided, but the scene was being investigated by law enforcement officials, the fire department reported.
