Would it be fair to call the latest effort by the losing Los Angeles Rams a publicity stunt?

Voting closes Wednesday on an online poll to determine if the Los Angeles Rams should have a single blue stripe or double blue stripe on their pants.

The Rams are seeking assistance from fans as they “evolve” their 2017 uniform. Voting began Tuesday and is being conducted at Twitter.com/RamsNFL and Facebook.com/Rams. Voting will close at 4 p.m.

The Rams announced on their website they are removing the gold from their pants. The white pants they will wear in 2017 will follow the blue and white logo the team will be “using moving forward.”

The Rams will continue to wear the white jersey they wore for home games in 2016 that contains navy and hints of gold.

The team is continuing to explore a full rebrand, including new uniforms, that will be unveiled in 2019, their first season in the stadium under construction in Inglewood.
