A stretch of Agoura Road in Agoura Hills will be closed Monday as construction continues on the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing, following a similar closure earlier this month.

Monday’s closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Rondell Street and Hydepark Drive, according to Caltrans. The same stretch was closed during those hours Wednesday.

No through traffic will be permitted, including motorists, cyclists or pedestrians.

Motorists were advised to expect delays and use alternate local routes.

Free shuttle service will operate every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help pedestrians and cyclists travel around the closed section of Agoura Road.

The $114 million Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing is being built to allow mountain lions and other animals to safely cross the Ventura (101) Freeway between the Santa Monica Mountains and the Simi Hills.

The National Wildlife Federation’s #SaveLACougars campaign has raised more that $100 million toward the project with fundraising continuing toward an additional $15 million, organizers said.
