Lane closures will be in place in both directions of the Golden State (5) Freeway near Castaic Monday evening for an ongoing pavement rehabilitation project.
Beginning Monday at 10 p.m. and continuing until 6 a.m. Tuesday, up to three southbound lanes may be closed at Lake Hughes Road.
One northbound and one southbound lane may be closed from Lake Hughes Road to a location three miles south of Templin Highway Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day from Monday through Friday.
The construction is part of a project started in 2022.
Crews are replacing concrete slabs, upgrading drainage systems and guardrail, repairing and stabilizing slopes through rock scaling and installing geogrid, and constructing a retaining wall, according to Caltrans.
