An armed suspect remained at large Sunday after police in La Verne terminated a multi-hour search for him.
The search was conducted on and near the Damien High School campus at 2280 Damien Ave. Nearby residents were asked to remain indoors with their doors and windows locked.
At 12:45 p.m., the La Verne Police Department reported that K9 units were assisting in the search in and around the campus.
At 2:30 p.m., police said the search had been terminated and the suspect, who was being sought for felony domestic violence and weapons related charges, was still at large.
Though the suspect’s identity is known to police, his name has not yet been released. He was described as a man wearing a white shirt with a black-and-white horizontal stripe sweatshirt and dark pants.
Residents were urged to remain vigilant, and anyone with information about the suspect was asked to contact Detective Flores with the La Verne Police Department at 909-596-1913.
