A pedestrian sustained major injuries after being struck by a vehicle Monday in Palm Desert.
Deputies responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at 9:44 a.m. Monday in the area of El Paseo and Ocotillo Drive, according to Sgt. Robert Martinez of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Upon arrival, they found a pedestrian, whose identity was not revealed, suffering from major injuries. The individual was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The driver remained at the scene and no arrests were made, Martinez said. The circumstances behind the collision were not immediately available.
