A 59-year-old woman who was walking in a marked crosswalk and was fatally struck by a vehicle in Long Beach was identified Friday.

The woman was struck around 1 p.m. Tuesday near Fourth Street and Ximeno Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified her Friday as Pamela Galloway, who sustained multiple blunt traumatic injuries.

Police said the 53-year-old female driver whose vehicle struck Galloway remained at the scene and was cooperative with officers.

Speed, drugs, alcohol and distracted driving were not believed to be contributing factors in the crash.
