A Tesla shot through a garage and into the wall of a home in Santa Monica Thursday, but no one was injured.
The crash was reported about 8:45 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Raymond Avenue, near the intersection of Lincoln and Ocean Park boulevards, according to the Santa Monica Police Department. Arriving officers found a Tesla had come to rest halfway into the home.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that a driver was inside a garage when the vehicle accelerated forward and struck a neighboring residential structure, causing minor property damage,” said an SMPD spokesman. “No injuries were reported.”
The collision remains under review, police said.
