A total of three people were arrested during a DUI checkpoint in San Jacinto, authorities announced Saturday.
The checkpoint was conducted near Esplanade Avenue, east of San Jacinto Avenue from 7 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Two people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and a third person was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
A total of 1,003 vehicles were contacted.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
