Two people were taken to a hospital Wednesday after they were located at the scene of a house fire in the Valley Glen area of the San Fernando Valley.
The fire was reported at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday at a one-story, single-family home at 6340 N. Colbath Ave., near Victory Boulevard and Hazeltine Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Two people were assessed at the scene and taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries, the department reported.
The first arriving crews encountered smoke and flames coming from the home’s attic. About 50 firefighters responded and put the blaze out within 22 minutes of the 911 call reporting the fire, according to the LAFD.
The cause of the fire was not immediately apparent.
