Authorities continued their investigation Wednesday regarding a 21-year-old man who was arrested for allegedly making criminal threats in Indio.
Jesse Daniel Sanchez was booked into Benoit Detention Center on suspicion of criminal threats, resisting, obstruction and outstanding misdemeanor warrants, according to Sgt. Robert Martinez of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Officers responded to a report of an individual disturbing the peace and making threats at 3:58 p.m. Tuesday in the 47000 block of Van Buren Street.
The suspect fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival, but he was later found in the 84000 block of Leyte Avenue, authorities said.
He was uncooperative with authorities and barricaded himself at the location until he peacefully surrendered a short time later, Martinez said.
Sanchez was taken into custody without incident.
