Two people were killed Sunday when a vehicle crashed into a tree in Whittier, authorities said.
Officers responded at 8:48 a.m. Sunday to the 5800 block of Norwalk Boulevard regarding a single-vehicle collision, according to Lt. Paul Segura of the Whittier Police Department.
The driver and passenger were found dead inside the vehicle, Segura said.
Police traffic investigators remained at the scene investigating the cause of the crash.
The victims’ names were withheld pending notification of their families by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office.
