Caltrans reminded motorists Friday to be aware of next week’s lane closures on Pacific Coast Highway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Palisades Fire emergency work zones.

Starting Monday, crews on PCH may set up single-lane closures anytime between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with potential closures planned as follows:

— Possible nighttime closures from the Ventura County line to Carbon Beach Terrace for Corral Canyon Road Bridge repairs;

— South of Las Flores Canyon Road to Sunset Boulevard, lane closures to repair fire-damaged roadway, slopes, drainage and electrical systems will occur only as needed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays;

— From Carbon Canyon Road to Las Flores Canyon Road, one lane of northbound PCH will be closed from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends and from 9 p.m to 6 a.m. daily for a Southern California Edison trenching operation that will also require one lane of southbound PCH to be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends and from 9 p.m to 6 a.m. daily;

— From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, a half-mile stretch extending from just south of Big Rock Drive will be closed for catchment wall construction;

— From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, northbound PCH will be reduced to a single lane as needed from just south of Topanga Canyon Boulevard to Sunset Boulevard for slope repair and culvert cleanup;

— Retaining wall work near Getty Villa will close one lane of northbound PCH from Coastline Drive to Porto Marina Way from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Topanga Canyon Boulevard was reopened for daytime travel from Grand View Drive and PCH between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily, but “motorists were advised to be alert and remain focused on the road while driving through this stretch of SR-27 to avoid additional delays,” and should “take extra caution, especially around blind curves in case of slowed traffic,” according to Caltrans.

That stretch of Topanga Canyon Boulevard remains closed from midnight to 5 a.m. daily.

— Pilot escorts and one-lane traffic control is scheduled from mile marker 2.5 to 2.8 for Caltrans emergency project work from 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on weekdays when crews are working and one-lane traffic control may occur while crews are working between PCH and postmile 1.8 on Verizon trench digging, 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. weekdays; and finally

— From Old Topanga Canyon Road to just south of Happy Trail each weekday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. one-lane traffic control for SCE trenching work will be required, and from Old Topanga Canyon Road to just south of Happy Trail, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, and SCE electrical work will require one-lane traffic control from Highvale Trail to Happy Trail from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights.

Other than the planned closures, crews may set up others during this period, according to Caltrans.
