Expect lane closures in both directions Monday through Friday next week as Caltrans crews conduct pavement rehabilitation work on the Golden State (5) Freeway in the Castaic area, Caltrans announced Friday.
Up to three lanes of the northbound and southbound 5 may be closed at Lake Hughes Road between 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Southbound 5 Lake Hughes Road on- and off-ramps will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to the agency.
“This construction is part of a project that began in April 2022,” according to Caltrans statement. “The overall scope of the project includes replacing concrete slabs, upgrading drainage systems and guardrail, repairing and stabilizing slopes through rock scaling and installing geogrid, and construction of a retaining wall.”
