The Goliath roller coaster has been temporarily closed at Six Flags Magic Mountain along with similar rides throughout the chain following a death on the ride Monday at Six Flags Over Georgia.
“Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily closed similar attractions across our parks. The safety of our guests and team members remains one of our highest priorities,” a spokesperson for Six Flags told Fox 11.
A witness told WXIA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Atlanta that “a man fell off the Goliath ride. He hit a girl two rows in front of us on the Goliath ride right where the pictures are taken.”
Six Flags Magic Mountain announced on Sept. 29 it was permanently closing its X2 roller coaster as the company defends itself against allegations that more than 100 people have suffered brain injuries on the extreme coaster in the last two years.
