Lady Justice 4 16-9

A basketball coach at the Albert Einstein Academy in Santa Clarita was ordered Thursday to remain jailed in lieu of $840,000 bail in connection with sex-related charges involving five teenage boys who attended the school.

Randolph Jackson, 27, is scheduled to be arraigned March 19 on eight felony counts and 12 misdemeanor counts filed against him last month.

Jackson was arrested Feb. 18 in Washington, D.C., and waived extradition to Los Angeles. He was brought back to Southern California on Tuesday.

A half-dozen of the felony charges — one count each of continuous sexual abuse, oral copulation of a person under 16 and sodomy of a person under 16 and three counts of attempted oral copulation of a person under 16 — involve one alleged victim.

The criminal complaint alleges that the other two felony charges — committing a lewd act upon a child — involve a second boy.

Jackson is also charged with three misdemeanor counts of child molesting and nine misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure.

The criminal complaint filed Feb. 13 alleges that the crimes occurred between November 2010 and January 2015.

If convicted as charged, Jackson faces more than 30 years in state prison, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
