A dead man was found in an unplugged refrigerator behind a home in Sun Valley on Sunday, a grisly discovery made as police investigated an apparent marijuana plantation.
The body was found about 5:30 a.m. in the 11100 block of Runnymeade Street, said Officer Mike Lopez of the LAPD‘s Media Relations Section.
The home was being used as an illegal marijuana operation, Lopez said.
Police received a phone tip about the property earlier this morning, ABC7 reports.
Investigators told ABC7 that the body, stuffed into a black garbage bag inside the refrigerator, had been for several days.
