It took firefighters close to three and a half hours to put out a stubborn two-alarm fire at a pallet yard in Industry Sunday.

Firefighters found massive piles of wooden pallets after they were dispatched at 4:16 a.m. to 135 Long Lane. The had the fire out at 7:35 a.m., according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.

No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.

Pallets are stackable wooden small platforms, each of which is often a half-foot or more off the ground. Goods are placed on them for protection from water or other ground-based dangers.
