Two men were shot, one fatally, in an unincorporated area of South Los Angeles, and authorities were continuing their investigation Monday.
The shootings took place around 8 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Firestone Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Juan Rodriguez, 49, of Los Angeles died at the scene, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner reported.
The second man suffered a gunshot wound to his lower body, and he was taken to a hospital for in stable condition.
Two suspects were last seen running east on Firestone Boulevard, the LASD reported. No description of the suspects was available. A motive for the shootings was unknown.
