Seven people were injured Friday evening in a boat fire in Long Beach.
Firefighters were dispatched around 7:10 p.m. Friday regarding an approximately 30-foot boat fully engulfed in flames in the 700 block of Queensway Drive between Hotel Maya and The Queen Mary, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.
Four of the seven victims were taken to a hospital in unknown condition, while the other three were evaluated at the scene and declined to be taken to a hospital.
The boat was towed around 8:15 p.m. to an isolated area near Alamitos Bay at Long Beach Fire Station 21 to ensure full containment and that all hot spots were doused, the department said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation Friday evening.
