An Ebony Alert was in effect Saturday in Los Angeles County for a 15-year-old teen reported missing in Lawndale.
Kelsey Walker was last seen at approximately 8 a.m. Friday near South Inglewood Avenue and West 147th Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Gardena Police Department.
Kelsey is Black, 4 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. Authorities said she was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black leggings and tan Crocs and she is believed to be traveling on foot.
Anyone who has seen Kelsey or knows of her whereabouts was asked to call 911.
Ebony Alerts are issued to help locate missing Black children, teenagers, and young adults ages 12 to 25 who have disappeared under unexplained or suspicious circumstances, or who are at risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired, or abducted.
