One person was killed and another injured in a collision Saturday between a semi-tractor trailer and a sedan near the unincorporated area of Llano in the Antelope Valley.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 3:50 a.m. to State Route 138 and 248th Street where they found the collision, the victims and the vehicles, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were called to the scene and pronounced one of the victims inside the sedan dead. The second person was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
A SigAlert was issued for the closure of State Route 138 and 248th Street for an unknown duration while the CHP investigated the cause of the crash.
