For millions of people, Disneyland has lived up to its promise of being the “Happiest Place on Earth” since Walt opened his iconic Anaheim park in 1955.

But for one man, that promise wasn’t enough as he jumped to his death from his perch atop the “Mickey and Friends” Disneyland parking structure during the Thanksgiving weekend holiday.

Details were still sketchy, bu the Orange County Coroner’s Office Saturday said Paramedics rushed the man to UC Irvine Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The parking structure is at 1313 S. Disneyland Drive between Magic Way and West Ball Road.

There was no indication about the reason the man took his own life, nor were there details about his age or background.

The suicide took place shortly after 2 a.m. Friday.
