A man and a woman were stabbed by a sword-wielding suspect who was later arrested in connection with the attack at a Garden Grove residence, authorities said Monday.

It was reported at 6:08 p.m. Sunday at a residence in the 9700 block of Acacia Avenue, said Garden Grove Police Lt. William Allison.

“The investigation revealed a domestic dispute occurred,” Allison said.

The man, 21, arrived during the dispute and was attacked by the assailant in front of the residence, the lieutenant said. They were separated by the suspect’s family members.

The wounded man was hospitalized with stable vital signs, Allison said. The female, who suffered a leg wound while separating the men, was hospitalized for observation.

Police found suspect Tam Huynh inside the residence and took him into custody without further incident, the lieutenant said.
