The Los Angeles Lakers announced their 2024-25 pre-season schedule Friday, which is set to include two games at Acrisure Arena in October.
The Lakers have a history in the Greater Palm Springs area, a former training camp site, which also hosted a preseason contest in 2023.
As part of this year’s “Desert Duel,” the Lakers will tip off against two opponents — the Minnesota Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns — at the multipurpose arena on Oct. 4 and Oct. 6, respectively. The latter opponent was also part of last year’s “Desert Duel.”
After that pair of games, the Lakers will face off with the Golden State Warriors in Las Vegas on Oct. 15. More preseason games will be announced this summer.
All Lakers preseason games will be televised by Spectrum SportsNet and can be heard on the team’s flagship radio station, 710 AM ESPNLA. A Spanish radio broadcast is also available at KWKW 1330 AM.
Tickets for the Coachella Valley games will go on sale Monday morning.
