A bank in Calimesa was robbed and the suspect was at large Friday evening.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Cabazon Station responded at 2:10 p.m. to a report of a robbery at a bank in the 1100 block of Calimesa Boulevard, according to sheriff’s department Sgt. Richard Carroll.
An investigation revealed a man walked into the business, demanded money, then left the building with an unknown amount of cash. No weapon was reported used and no bank customers or staff were hurt, Carroll said.
The suspect was described as a white man, approximately 55 years old, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall wearing a short sleeved checkered shirt with white long sleeve undershirt and a brown hat, Carroll said.
