The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Saturday for the 46th consecutive day, declining a half-cent to $3.649, its lowest amount since Aug. 31.
The average price has dropped 48 cents during the streak, including six-tenths of a cent on Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 3.5 cents less than one week ago and 30.1 cents lower than one month ago, but 20.1 cents more than one year ago.
The streak of decreases is the longest since a 46-day run from May 8-June 22.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 47th consecutive day, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.566, its lowest amount since Aug. 29. It has dropped 52.2 cents during the streak, including nine-tenths of a cent Friday.
The Orange County average price is 3.6 cents less than one week ago and 32.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 16 cents more than one year ago.
The streak of decreases is the longest in Orange County since a 48-day run of price drops from May 17-July 3, 2015.
