A man believed to be in his 30s suspected of smashing car windows with a shovel in West Hills Monday evening after leaving a nearby hospital surrendered to police.
Officers responded to the scene in the 22800 block of Valerio Street near Fallbrook Avenue at 6:45 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department Officer Mike Lopez.
Officers returned the man to the hospital, Lopez said.
It was not immediately known why he was in the hospital.
The suspect’s name was not released.
