The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Monday to its lowest amount since March 22, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.51.

The average price has dropped eight consecutive days and 11 of the past 12, decreasing 5.7 cents, including eight-tenths of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 4.3 cents less than week ago and 6.7 cents lower than one month ago but 15.1 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped 10.5 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price also dropped to its lowest amount since March 22, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.468. It has dropped 13 consecutive days, decreasing 5.1 cents, including six-tenths of a cent on Sunday.

The Orange County average price is 3.5 cents less than one week ago and 5 cents lower than one month ago but 15.6 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped 7.7 cents since the start of the year.
